My Spring Wishlist
Each new season brings new weather and a desire for a wardrobe refresh. Spring and Fall are the two most tempting times for me! In order to keep my spending in check, I wanted to put together a wishlist of my top pieces for the warmer weather. Most of these are clothing, although there are a few beauty items I’ve been wanting to try, too! I certainly won’t be buying everything on this list, but it’s still really helpful to lay out the pieces that have been rolling around in my head, see everything side by side, and start thinking about what’s really worth purchasing. It’s a visual way to organize and prioritize, and visually is the way my creative mind thinks best. There will no doubt be more pieces added to this list over the next few weeks, so stay tuned for further installments! :)
BOATNECK TOP, $59 These tops became my go-to this winter, and I don't see them going anywhere this spring. The fabric is so soft, the neckline is chic and elegant, and I love how the semi-transparent fabric looks over a pretty bra. There are so many colors available and they look good with everything!
MARISA WIRED BRA, $84
I have a weakness for beautiful lingerie - especially from France - but I’m looking forward to trying this London-based brand sometime soon! This bra in particular is on my wishlist due to the incredibly delicate lace design, the gorgeous shape, and the pretty ice blue color. While Bluebella isn’t cheap, they’re pretty affordable in the world of fine lingerie, and I love that their price point is more accessible than some!
AXELLE ANKLE BOOTS, $255
Boots are an obvious staple in wintertime, and since I live in a northern state, I wear them well into spring, also! This pair from Sézane is stunning, and the patent leather material also makes them perfect for snowy or wet days. Patent leather is hardier than regular leather or suede, so I know these will hold up well and stay in my closet for years to come. They’re a true showstopper with their rich color, and I’ve gotten so many compliments on them already!
MELUMÉ LIP FILLER BALM, $35
I sadly struggle with chronically dry lips, and since I’m in my mid-thirties and haven’t had any procedures done, my lips are starting to show plenty of fine vertical lines. While I’m not going to rule out ever having lip filler done, it’s not in the plan for now, and I’ve heard wonderful things about how this balm plumps and smooths!
TAN JELLY FLAT, $50
I’m not big on trends, but I do like to incorporate them into my wardrobe sometimes if they can be done in a somewhat classic way. These shoes are the perfect example! Jelly flats and sandals have been trending for a while now, but I never felt like they’d be timeless enough to fit my style until I saw these. The shape is really elegant and the tan color helps them feel chic, while the crisscross pattern is really fun and interesting!
DEMELLIER TOKYO BAG, $525
I mentioned in my newsletter that I’m hoping to save up for a nice purse sometime, and this is the one I have my eye on. DeMellier is an obvious front-runner in the world of luxury bags; they are minimalist and modern and so stunning. As far as designer bags go, these are affordable…but it’s still an investment so I’m not sure if I’ll be purchasing one quite yet. We’ll see!
LÉANDRE DRESS, $230
I so look forward to slipping back into dresses when the cold weather passes! I love this sweater dress from Sézane with the ribbed knit fabric and the striking crocheted placket and buttons. The navy color is so classic and the maxi length is perfect for days that still have a little chill. This dress manages to be both simple and detailed, which are two things I frequently incorporate into my outfits. I’ve eyed this as they’ve released it in several different colors and this version is my favorite!
MAELLE DENIM SHIRT, $125
Double denim is trending this spring, but it’s really something that’s always in style. I have several pairs of jeans that I really love, but I don’t have any denim shirts and I want to rectify that this season! I especially love this option from Sézane because it’s cropped. I love how a cropped shirt works with high-rise bottoms to lengthen the legs - something I desperately need! I also like the reduced bulk that can happen from tucking in a longer hem.
QUINCE SILK MINI SKIRT, $60
Silk is such a gorgeous fabric; I have a pair of silk pants that I love, and it would be so handy to have something shorter in silk for the warmer weather. This particular skirt has an elastic waistband for comfort and easy sizing, and I love that the hem is above the knee without being too short. I can see myself styling this with so many different summer tops!
RHODE PEPTIDE LIP TINT, $18
I ordered my first Rhode lip balm in October and I still haven’t used it up (although I do have multiple other lip balms in rotation). Still, a little goes a long way, and I’ve really come to love this product. It feels so nourishing and smooth on the lips, and the soft wash of color and glassy shine are gorgeous. This also lasts a long time for me and keeps my lips feeling supple and hydrated!
