Holiday 2024 Gift Guide: Home Edition
This is likely to be my last gift guide for the year. I hope you've enjoyed these as much as I have! Something I've consistently loved doing since I got my first apartment in 2012 is making my living space feel homey, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming. Especially during the cooler months when dark sets in early and the weather makes it hard to be outdoors, having a peaceful and cozy space to enjoy is so important. You'll notice lots of candles in this guide because they are relatively affordable and go so far to create a warm, inviting environment. Enjoy!
FOREST FIR CANDLE, $42
Since it's December, this Forest Fir scented candle is very apt. Linnea is my favorite candle brand because their fragrances are impeccable and their materials burn cleanly. The throw of their scents is also by far the best of any candle brand I've tried!
HARVEST PUMPKIN CANDLE, $42
If you're looking for something less Christmas-y that still gives off a cozy, cool-weather vibe, Harvest Pumpkin is another favorite. It has plenty of spicy and sweet notes, but the scent is far less overwhelmingly sugary than many pumpkin candles!
ART PRINTS, $25 - $55
A space never feels finished until it has art hung on the walls. This is a shameless plug for my Etsy shop, where I sell prints of my original paintings. There are lots of options and sizes to choose from, and the still life and landscape subjects are so timeless!
COFFEE MUG, $4
In my life, home is where the coffee is! I look forward to waking up each morning to drink my morning cup out of this round little mug. I love the speckled glaze and the contrasting rim around the top. I couldn't believe this is only $4 and had to back for another one right away because I loved it so much!
VINTAGE CANDLE, $42
Another Linnea fragrance I love is Vintage. With its warm wood and vetiver notes, it creates a wonderfully cozy and warm scent when it's burning. I have this sitting near my computer when I work so I can smell it all the time, even when it's not lit!
RUG COASTERS, $29
These little rug coasters are one of my favorite home finds. I picked them up at The Met store when I was in NYC two summers ago and I'm so glad I did! They're so unique and add charm and character to the room while also being very practical.
DIPTYQUE CANDLE, $45 - $74
Diptyque candles are definitely a luxury purchase, but they are so worth it. The iconic label design is as gorgeous as the fragrances and you can reuse the vessel after the candle is gone. I store jewelry in mind and it adds such a chic vibe to my bathroom counter.
FAUX FUR BLANKET, $40
Warm, soft blankets are a must for any Midwest winter. The two sides of this reversible throw are both so marshmallowy and beautiful! It adds gorgeous texture to a room when draped over a couch arm and there's nothing cozier to wrap yourself in while watching a movie.
CARLEIGH COUREY CALENDAR, $42
I've bought this calendar every year since it came out and I don't plan to stop anytime soon! Carleigh is such a talented artist and her paintings bring so much life to our home, The color and movement of each painting is stunning!
EMBERS CANDLE, $42
The final candle in my gift guide, Embers is another woody scent that's perfect for this time of year. I've always wanted a fireplace, and this is the next best thing! The fragrance perfectly captures the essence of crackling logs and flickering flames.
PLASTER BUST STATUE, $195
This website has lots of gorgeous sculpture replicas, and I love the old-world, cultured feel they embody. I adore this Venus de Milo bust and have a few others statues scattered around the house, too. These are a wonderful gift for an art-lover!
THROW PILLOWS, $20
Finally, you can find a collection of my favorite throw pillows through this link. A small pillow is the perfect place to add a little extra color, pattern, and/or texture to the room they're in. I love having a few different ones that all coordinate and draw on other aspects of the room to pull everything together.
